Week zero came and went.
I am extremely thankful to all my friends who have made it possible for me to have wonderful departure dinners. I am extremely thankful to my family for supporting and blessing me in each of their special way. I am extremely thankful for all that has happened.

Orientation is over, finally. it was very tiring to get all the admin things done. My parents were here with me for awhile treating me like a 4 year old but i think cause they are too worried and concerned. It takes time for them to adjust and it takes time for me to adjust too. Thus, i shall focus on appreciation and grumble less. Well the surprising shock is that my closest friend/ally Evelyn moved here, spent week zero with us and has flown back to Singapore?! The smart girl has apparently gotten a London med school offer (after arriving here) and she decided on going there to chase her dreams. I feel sad, i really do for we forged a friendship i saw worth in. No matter where you are right now, Evelyn, i hope the best for you and i know you will do more than fine as per usual.

Due to time differences, my window period of talking to my friends are significantly shorter. Plus, when i text them, its like texting them all at one go. I am going to miss them so much. Seriously, i hope they do not forget me here haha. It was week zero right so i had the time to communicate and socialise. i think i managed settling down and communicating with singapore side quite well for the first week. That said, school term is starting and i will try my best to maintain conversations. It is hard for me to show or express but i do value my friends.

With Nicole, i visited Bray. Previously at Bray, i walked the seaside alone and ate at the church-looking macdonalds. This time, we hiked up a cliff, Bray Head, and trekked 7km to Greystones. The view was great. Nic and I managed to capture a few pretty shots.

In any case, i feel thankful to be here.
To reiterate, i treasure all the farewell cards, letters, presents and more importantly, everyone's love.
It is not leaving my loves behind but rather taking the love from everyone with me.

(i think one of my fav quote is appropriate)
the greatest happiness in life is the conviction that we are loved - loved for ourselves, or rather, loved in spite of ourselves.

That is gratitude and satisfaction seamlessly woven together.

I think of home as I watch across the shore.
