15.11.14

So i did something a little crazy! I took a day trip to London... HAHAHAH.
On friday night, I came back from dance rehearsal at like 10plus 11pm? On Sat morning quarter past 5, i gulped down a mug of cereal and walked in the dark to the bus stop to catch Aircoach. Teehee happily ate my kaya "toast" in the bus. The week that passed and the next 2 weeks ahead are the pinnacle of difficulty for me so yeah. The past week was really sian and i just enjoyed that silent 10mins walk to the bus stop, the silent 15 mins wait for the bus and the silent 30mins bus ride. The silence was comforting, it calmed me down from the bout of emotional upheavals throughout the week.
After checking in and customs check, i decided to get a hot chocolate because i wouldn't be eating anything from 7.50(the flight takes off) till about 11.30/12(when i met my cousin). Dublin's boutique chocolatier is called Butler's and it is AMAZING.The hot chocolate was so thick milky and not overly sweet, it was just grand. To top it off, i chose cookies hot chocolates which means there were melted caramelised biscuit bits in it and it was FANTASTIC. Oh and guess what! For hot drinks bought, you get a free chocolate/praline of your choice. I chose chocolate truffle with my cookie and hot chocolate ... AWESOME.

I bought the cheapest aer lingus ticket so i couldn't choose my seat but when i checked in i was given a really strategic seat: Row 2! 2nd row from the entrance which means near the emergency door and also speedy exit. Best part is that the row was empty so i had 3 seats to myself yay!^^

Upon touching down in London, i took the underground to meet my cousin at Bayswater. Since he said he was held up at hammersmith, i secretly stopped over at High Street Kensington to browse through a couple of shops. The feeling of just doing something without having to worry about what to do next (which i have been having for the past few days due to some things) was really great so #happy.
Well, we went to Borough's Market which was once again awesome. I was hungry from lunch and poor meals from the past few days so I'm going to list things I ate and you can call me a pig I don't mind:

Spicy Cajun Chicken
Seafood Paella Rice
Thai Curry Chicken
Garlic prawn and Cajun Fish Wrap
Fresh Oysters
Double Chorizo Sandwich
A raw vegetable wrap which i cannot rmb offhand
2 cups of cider
1 cup of blended juice: cherry, apple, banana and orange
A variety of cheese
some funny buttered meat pots
German donuts: vanilla creme and sea salted caramel
Macaron-meringue tart au citron

Yup that was it! Then we went to picadilly circus and i resisted myself from entering cafe royale because i know if i entered cafe royal, i would probably order almost everything on the menu. Like ping probably knows, i will be unable to decide on what i want haha. But i went to Ma maison du chocolat and got a free dark chocolate truffle. You know you've got a good truffle when it tastes rich,dense,smooth and topped with cocoa flakes. But ma maison costs a bomb so i resisted myself and cause my cousin was insistent on paying for everything, self-restraint was the best call. But self-restraint kinda loosened when i stepped into Fortnum and Mason. Fortnum and Mason is my favourite classic all time favourite confectionary store. The store itself is so whimsical and pretty, it can be my castle any day. The victorian architecture with french chandelier lights and gold plated linings...centre towers of sweets, chocolates,biscuits, tea and more... F&M, it has been a long time. I brought 3 small tins of biscuits back and i self-disciplining myself to only open during mugging week.

And then we went to the airport. My last treat! Gelato! Vanilla creme scoop and strawberry scoop with biscotti topping and dark chocolate topping...fabulous. And then i realised my plane was boarding already haha...so thanked my cousin for everything and rushed to the gate. Sweetness from the gelato still lingering on my tastebuds

When i reached dublin, i grabbed a hot chocolate from SPAR and waited for air coach. Timing was impeccable: the moment i paid for my air coach ticket the bus arrived. Then CJ picked me up from bus stop. Was wondering why he was so nice .. in the end he ended up venting his weeks worth of frustrations...ranting non-stop all the way back to Merville but it was quite entertaining i was like laughing away half the time.

Yeap so thankful for the happy day!

p.s. the most disastrous thing happened to me on thurs-fri! On thurs, nicole and i had some miscommunication so she left my shoe bag overnight in the meeting room. The thing was that my shoe bag had my daiso box file in it!!!!! The next day we went back and the box file was gone, my shoe bag was zipped open and thrown in the bin...
The box file contained 4 weeks of french notes (i have exam on tuesday), my pencil case (i only brought single pieces for some of my stationary), my sole stack of foolscap and my PLANNER. My planner is gone like seriously gone. It has all the important dates and study dates and whatever and basically my whole year worth of achievements jotted down and it is gone. Worst part is that the upcoming 2 weeks are the busiest weeks in terms of assignments, practs, presentations and everything i hope i rmb all the dates correctly. And also my study timetable for studying has to be re-drawn.
Bad luck right. lucky she brought back my laptop though haha.
So my london trip is perhaps justified then...? (:

Still wanna end this post on a good note so...
2 more weeks of seriously exhausting school term ( i still have CPR test as well!!!): )
1 week of study break
1 week of exams

and then I'm free.
I'm going to Belgium.
and then I'm going home.
and then I'm going to japan.
and then I'm staying in singapore for awhile.
and then... (nvm lets leave that out for now XP)
