1030pm-1am.
It took me what felt like forever to get this drawing completed with the shading. It was a tiring day and we were staying up till 12 for Sam's birthday. Time: too tired to mug, too precious to be wasted.
Picked up my pencil and decided to do some sketching-shading.
As ppl of my kingdom know, baby breaths are my favorite flowers! I happened to see a similar picture of a baby breath bouquet on Google images. Thought I would replicate it.
While doing so, I decided to exaggerate the inidividual flowers. Because I felt that that was how life was/is. It truly is one big huge mess but then again I always wanted it to look beautiful (represented by the ribbon-symbol of beauty and elegance) and I always try my best to get as much control and make the best out of it, as seen as the relatively nested bundle.
It was night time, it was hard to get a pic. The original pic is in colour cause I wanted to hit two birds with one stone. First bird, produce a colored original.
Second bird, black-and-white shading intensity fading thing I saw at an exhibition last year. Gradient falls from left to right.
Colouring was quite hard actually. Because I wanted to try the one direction strokes and experimenting colour blends. Sadly, I have only 10 colour pencils of distinct colours so hmm. Need to work on that. Focusing on just plain 2D plane drawing for now. It's more direct drawing like observe and draw, the basic skills. Nothing fanciful...may progress after 10years perhaps? Haha. Only thing "okay" would be visualizing? Realise I can be rather 天马行空, or have I always been?
